The first things that typically comes to ones mind when they hear “Lavender”, are words like "sleep", "peaceful" and “relax”. It could also possibly make you think of the little brainy girl with glasses from Matilda, but I’m going to go ahead and assume “relaxation” comes to your mind first. Besides, the chocolate cake that Bruce was eating was obviously the star of the movie anyway. Now, back to Lavender Oil before I start baking an entire chocolate cake for myself. The fact that Lavender is already commonly linked to such soothing and positive adjectives really makes my job easier. What most people don’t also realize, is that Lavender oil is SO much more than just a great smell that aids in calming the mind and promoting restful sleep. It is also AMAZING for your skin. I can truly say it is my FAVORITE and most used essential oil.

-What Skin issues can I use Lavender Oil for?-

Can I just say "everything" and stop writing in hopes that you’ll believe me? Sorry, I’m just still thinking about that chocolate cake. Anyways. I was not kidding when I said everything. You name an issue and I bet Lavender oil can somehow benefit it. This Miracle oil is an Antibacterial & Anti-inflammatory. It prevents the bacteria that causes acne, helps regulate the over excretion of sebum (too much sebum flow = breakout city) AND reduces signs of scarring after your acne has begun to heal. These amazing qualities also allow this oil to help treat skin irritations such as rashes, bug bites (not to mention, is also great to use as a natural bug repellent), razor burn and sun burns! Haven't you ever had too many mojitos by the pool and woke up looking redder than the Kool-Aid Man? Because I can unfortunatly say that has happened to me more times than I want to admit. My skin just LOVES to get sunburnt and Lav Oil has really had my back… literally.

LAV-O is a blessing for wrinkles. Preventing OR fixing. It is a circulatory stimulant so it increases blood flow to your skin tissue. Why is that beneficial you ask? By increasing blood flow to the skin, you are assisting nutrients and oxygen to do what it’s best at… encouraging skin health and repair!

Scalp issues? No worries. One of my favorite uses of this essential oil is that it has helped my scalp and hair tremendously. I have had dry & itchy scalp issues my entire life. Okay fine, dandruff. I HAVE DANDRUFF, OKAY!? (I really hope no hot guys are reading this.) If it wasn’t for the the phenomenal potion I created with the major assistance of Lavender oil (recipe at bottom), I would basically be starring in an embarrassing Head & Shoulders commercial every day. Except it would be real life... and I wouldn’t be getting paid by Head & Shoulders..so, that's that. I also have extremely fine hair… I CAN NOT AFFORD FOR ANY OF IT TO GO MISSING. Lav Oil is amazing for massaging onto the scalp to encourage hair regrowth (recipe at bottom). MEN: this is amazing for preventing male baldness! Use it now, thank me later. No, like seriously... feel free to send me flowers, chocolates or take me out for a really nice thank you dinner. I like pizza a lot too.

REMEMBER: I would like to stress that Essential Oils are NOT something you ever go overboard with. You always want to mix EO’s with a Carrier Oil. A little bit goes a LONG way, and over-doing it could actually have reverse effects.

-Purchasing Lavender Oil-

Do your research! There are SO many Essential Oil companies out there and you want to be sure you are purchasing from an honest, pure and reputable company. Feel free to purchase what you can afford and also keep in mind that, just because it’s more expensive, does not always mean it is better. I would be lying if I said I bought the most expensive and high class oils out there. I’m still getting “Warning: low balance” texts from my bank every month so, whatever, I do what I can. I play around with different brands and encourage you do the same.
